Experience - 10 Years in Yoga, Meditation and Pranayama (Breathwork)
My journey to yoga started with fascination to complex asanas and better health, with this as my goal I started my training to be a yoga teacher. Within a year of my self practiceof yoga and pranayama an inner shift within was becoming evident. I was questioning myself and searching for a deeper meaning of yoga, somewhere inside me there was a voice which said Yoga can’t be just this, there has be more to it, but where and how? I had no answers.
I came across the book “Meditation from Tantras” by Swami Satyananda Saraswati, reading this book I found my answers and saw the bigger picture of yoga, I realised that yoga is a journey to self discovery, a way to life and a means to go wider and deeper into one’s being and consciousness. This picture of yoga was definitely more appealing and promising.
With this goal in mind my next steps in a year’s time led me to the Bihar School of Yoga, Munger(India). There I met Swami Niranjananda in whom I found my Guru, my light, and in listening to him I found my inspiration and my purpose in life, to devote this lifetime in spreading the message of yoga as conceptualised by my Gurus. With this I said goodbye to corporate life having found more fulfilling and satisfying pursuits to follow for the rest of my life.
Today I offer sessions on yoga, pranayama and meditation in line with the teachings of my Gurus.
Yoga has helped me awaken and integrate the faculties of head, heart and hands. It taught me to be a gardener in life and it is this vision that I take into every yoga session I offer.
“Yoga is not just about physical postures but about cultivating inner peace, self awareness and deeper connection with the divine.” Swami Sivananda
